SINGIDA Black Stars have officially announced their return home to Singida Region following the conclusion of the CAF Confederation Cup group stage, confirming that they will now host their Mainland Premier League matches at their newly completed Mtipa Stadium.

The club’s information officer, Hussein Masanza (pictured), said the stadium is now 100 percent complete and ready for use after complying with all requirements set by the Tanzania Football Federation (TFF).

“After finishing our Confederation Cup matches, Singida Black Stars are officially returning home and will begin using their new stadium for Premier League matches, which is now fully completed.

“An official confirmation will be issued by the relevant football authorities, but as a club we have already fulfilled all directives that were given to us in order to be cleared to host Premier League matches,” he said.

Previously, Singida Black Stars had been using the KMC Complex in Dar es Salaam for their home fixtures. The decision was influenced by logistical convenience and proximity to infrastructure while competing in Group C of the CAF Confederation Cup, where they were eliminated at the group stage.

The Mtipa Stadium was officially inaugurated on March 24 last year with a friendly match between Singida Black Stars and Young Africans Sports Club, which ended in a 2–0 defeat for the hosts.

Singida Black Stars finished third in their Confederation Cup group with five points. Domestically, they currently sit 13th in the Mainland Premier League standings with 12 points after eight matches.
