THIS year’s Ndondo Cup has become more than just a local football tournament; it has transformed into a critical public health outreach initiative, providing essential HIV and vaccination services to nearly 10,000 youth aged 15-24.

The significant evolution is the collaborative efforts of the United States government through USAID and PEPFAR, alongside the Breakthrough ACTION project, Ministry of Health, and local organizers.

Emphasizing the importance of collaboration, Waziri Nyoni, Chief of Party for the Breakthrough ACTION project in Tanzania said: “The success of this initiative highlights the transformative impact of teamwork in advancing public health. Our efforts with the Government of Tanzania and USG partners were pivotal in removing barriers to essential health services for men and youth.”
