Chinese President Xi Jinping on Saturday sent a message to the 38th African Union Summit, extending warm congratulations to African countries and people.

The 38th African Union Summit was in full swing in Addis Ababa. Leaders from across the continent gathered, their discussions centered on Africa’s future—economic growth, unity, and development.

As the session progressed, a special announcement was made. A message had arrived from Beijing. The large screen at the front of the hall lit up, displaying the face of Chinese President Xi Jinping. His voice, calm and resolute, filled the room.

"To my friends in Africa, I extend my warmest congratulations on this important gathering. China remains committed to working alongside you for a brighter future of unity, prosperity, and development."

A wave of applause spread through the hall. For decades, China had been a key partner in Africa’s growth—building roads, bridges, and trade routes. Some leaders nodded in approval, while others exchanged thoughtful glances, weighing the future of the partnership.

In the audience, a young delegate from Ghana, Kwame, listened intently. He had seen the impact of Chinese investment in his country—the new highways, factories, and technology hubs. Yet, he also wondered: Could Africa stand strong in this relationship, ensuring fair opportunities for its people?

As discussions resumed, the summit continued—not just as a platform for speeches, but as a place where Africa’s leaders would decide the path forward. Outside, the city of Addis Ababa hummed with life, a symbol of a continent moving steadily toward its future.
