Bumbuli MP, Januari Makamba, has expressed his deep gratitude to President Samia Suluhu Hassan for trusting him with key ministerial positions, describing it as a remarkable honor that will remain with him for life.

Speaking today, Monday, February 24, 2025, at a public gathering in Lushoto District, Tanga, Makamba reflected on the valuable lessons he has learned under President Samia’s leadership, from his appointment as Minister in the President’s Office, to his subsequent roles as Minister of Energy and Minister of Foreign Affairs.

"Your Excellency, I thank you from the bottom of my heart for trusting me and appointing me as your minister. During our time working together, I have learned so much and grown immensely,” he said.

He added: “You taught me the principles of ministerial leadership, and any expertise I have in public service is thanks to you. I will carry this knowledge with me for the rest of my life.”

Makamba previously served as Minister of State in the President’s Office (Union and Environment) during the fifth phase government, before being appointed by President Samia to the ministries of Energy and later Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation.
