The Dar es Salaam Stock Exchange (DSE) has made it easier for citizens to buy stocks, as they can now do so through mobile phones.

This service will allow people to buy and sell stocks from anywhere in the world, thereby boosting the country's economic growth.

Speaking in Dar es Salaam yesterday, DSE's CEO, Peter Nalitolela, said they made this decision to simplify services for the public.

"As you may remember, in the past, people had to wait until 4 AM when the market opened to buy and sell stocks. But with the launch of this service, a person can do this at any time and from any location," Nalitolela said.

He stated that this step will help grow the market and provide opportunities for people to invest for their future.

Furthermore, Innocent Rwetabura, the Acting Chief Officer of Yas, which has entered into agreements with DSE, said they have made these agreements to ensure that they continue opening doors for investment opportunities for all Tanzanians.

"We have entered into agreements with DSE to ensure that we simplify the process for our customers to buy and sell stocks both inside and outside the country.

"Our goal is to ensure we continue opening doors for investment opportunities for all Tanzanians, who will have the chance to buy and sell stocks at any time," Rwetabura said.
