A MEMBER of CCM’s Central Committee and Prime Minister Kassim Majaliwa has unveiled government plans to end water shortage in the country by investing in major projects in key water bodies.

He spoke of plans pump the precious liquid from Lake Victoria, Lake Tanganyika and Lake Nyasa to ensure clean and safe water access for Tanzanians.

Majaliwa made the remarks here yesterday during a special general meeting of CCM party in Maswa East Constituency, held at Nguzo Nane grounds in Maswa, Simiyu Region.

“Our plan is to extend water services even to remote villages,” he said.

On health, Majaliwa noted the government's continued investment in healthcare, allocating significant funds to improve services and reduce the need for citizens to travel long distances for medical care.

To further support the nation’s development, he added that the government has continued advancing energy projects to enhance the national electricity supply.

“We have successfully connected nearly 99 percent of our villages to electricity and we now extend services to the remaining villages.”

Additionally, Majaliwa spoke of the strength of the CCM, emphasising that it remains steadfast in its mission to serve Tanzanians.

He praised the party’s policies, which he said continue to provide essential services and address the needs of the population.

“This party has always ensured the implementation of its election manifesto, delivering services that every Tanzanian benefits from daily. The party has also played a pivotal role in maintaining peace and stability in the country,” he said.
