THE ruling Chama cha Mapinduzi (CCM) party has expressed satisfaction with the registration statistics for the voters' register, highlighting the increased participation and engagement of citizens in the electoral process.

He commended CCM leadership, from regional representatives to grassroots members, along with the party’s supporters and the citizens of Dar es Salaam, for their collective efforts during the voter registration campaign.

“I would like to congratulate the leaders of CCM from the regional level down to the grassroots, as well as CCM supporters and the general public in Dar es Salaam, for their cooperation in the entire voter registration process, achieving an impressive 96.7 percent,” he said.

According to him, the party has witnessed the drive of various leaders who encouraged people to register in the voters' roll, including President Samia Suluhu Hassan, District and Regional leaders an act that stood as a motivation for people to register and stimulated a large turnout of individuals registration.

He further stated that if the ruling party loses, they would respect those results, viewing it as an opportunity for self-reflection and planning for why they lost that area, thus serving as a way to improve in the upcoming elections.

Over 31 million eligible Tanzanians, representing 94.83 per cent, have registered on the voter roll for the upcoming Local Government Elections, scheduled for 27th November this year.
