THE upcoming 2024 Dodoma Marathon is set to be a momentous event, with Prime Minister Kassim Majaliwa leading over 8,000 participants in the fifth edition of the race on July 28th, 2024.

The national leader's presence will undoubtedly ignite the spirits of runners from various social groups, including institutions, organizations, local and international competitors, and individual enthusiasts.

The introduction of the Prime Minister as the guest of honor took place in Dar es Salaam over the weekend, where the organizers, NBC Bank, unveiled a stunning array of jerseys designed to captivate the runners.

"Along with the presence of Prime Minister Kassim Majaliwa, who has been with us several times in this race, we are delighted to see that various stakeholders are continuing to come forward to support us in this noble cause," said Theobald Sabi, the MD of the bank.

Sabi further emphasized the importance of collaboration between different institutions in achieving a common goal in helping the community.

The Dodoma Marathon is more than just a race; it's a rallying cry for a noble cause. The primary objective of the event is to raise funds for the fight against cervical cancer and provide education sponsorship for midwives, a critical step in improving maternal health across the country.

This inspiring mission has attracted the support of an impressive roster of sponsors.

The jerseys designed for the event are a true work of art, showcasing the organizers’ dedication to creating a memorable visual experience for the runners.

David Raymond, another official from the organizers, explained that the five distinct colors – blue, yellow, white, red, and black – cater to the diverse preferences of the participants, while the addition of special reflectors ensures their safety during night-time training and after the race.

"The quality and creativity of these jerseys were given great consideration. We have made an effort to incorporate various markings that aim to create meaning, increase attractiveness, and most importantly, we have added special reflectors for their safety while on the road, especially during night-time training and after the race," Raymond stated.

For those eager to be a part of the momentous event, registration is now open through the website www.events.nbc.co.tz, with individual registration fees set at TZS 35,000 and group registration (for more than 25 people) at TZS 25,000.

As the nation gears up for the 2024 Dodoma Marathon, the presence of Prime Minister Majaliwa and the captivating jersey designs promise to create a truly unforgettable experience that celebrates the spirit of the Dodoma community and advances the crucial cause of maternal health.
