PAMBA Jiji secured six crucial points from back-to-back victories for the first time this season, prompting head coach Fred Felix 'Minziro' to challenge his players to maintain their momentum and steer clear of relegation danger.

The team claimed narrow 1-0 wins against both Dodoma Jiji and Azam FC, lifting them to 12th place in the league standings with 18 points.

Pamba Jiji’s latest win over Azam FC was sealed in the 87th minute, when substitute Deus Kaseke capitalized on a well-timed pass from Abdoulaye Yonta, breaking through Azam’s defense to score the only goal of the game.

Despite the loss, Azam FC remain third in the standings with 39 points, and this defeat marked their first loss since the league resumed.

Pamba Jiji aim to build on their recent victories as they prepare to host Coastal Union at CCM Kirumba Stadium on February 15.

They will then face two away fixtures against Mashujaa and Singida Black Stars, followed by a tough clash with Young Africans.

Minziro expressed pride in his squad but emphasized the need to remain focused:

"We need to continue on this winning path. I congratulate my players for their hard work, but these results should serve as motivation to push even harder in the upcoming matches."

Minziro took charge of Pamba Jiji on October 17, 2024, replacing Goran Kopunovic. Under his leadership, the team has won four matches (Dodoma Jiji, Azam FC, KenGold, Fountain Gate), drawn two matches (Kagera Sugar, JKT Tanzania) and lost five matches.

In 11 matches under Minziro, Pamba Jiji have collected 14 points. Over their last five games, they are ranked eighth in form, with two wins, one draw, and two losses.

Despite the recent improvement, the coach remains focused on sharpening the team’s attack:

"We are still working on our finishing. We’ve had challenges converting chances, but I believe my forwards will continue improving and proving their potential."

With a crucial home match against Coastal Union approaching, Pamba Jiji will look to extend their winning streak and climb further away from the relegation zone.
