Delaware Upanga SC's Maker Mukesh (R) receives the Ras Logistics Man of the Match award from Basit Raza of Harab Motors upon culmination of the 2024 Petrofuel TCA Caravans T20 Cup tie pitting the squad against Balakrishna Foundation Aces last weekend.

YELDA Reddy showcased a solid batting display to catapult Delaware Upanga SC to a 16-run win over Balakrishna Foundation Aces in the 2024 Petrofuel TCA Caravans T20 Cup duel held in Dar es Salaam early this week.

The clash of the weekend had seen Balakrishna Foundation Aces win the toss and elect to field first.

Whilst Vikram Rathore and skipper Asuri Rajendra had to depart early, Reddy’s 57(34) and Maker Mukesh’s 59(33), ensured that Delaware Upanga SC scored 185 runs for the loss of seven wickets at the end of the 20-over quota.

In return, Balakrishna Foundation Aces' openers started well, with Asif Butt and Arun Yadav scoring 32(22) and 54(34) respectively.

However, the team could, thereafter, not maintain a partnership, with wickets falling at regular intervals thanks to some smart bowling by Delaware Upanga SC's skipper Rajendra.

However, the match was not at all one-sided, with Balakrishna Foundation Aces falling just 16 runs short of the target. For his all-round exploits, Mukesh was adjudged the Ras Logistics Man of the Match.

Muhammad Sohail’s catch, which dismissed the explosive Yadav and might have been pivotal in changing the match's results, was awarded the Medinova Moment of the Match.
