Samia revamps key positions to enhance governance

PRESIDENT Samia Suluhu Hassan has strategically reshuffled key positions and made new appointments to enhance governance and boost efficiency within her administration.

In a statement released today, August 14, 2024, Chief Secretary Amb. Dr. Moses Kusiluka announced that President Samia has appointed Prof. Palamagamba Kabudi as Minister of Constitution and Legal Affairs, succeeding Dr. Pindi Chana, who has been appointed Minister for Natural Resources and Tourism.

The statement also highlighted William Lukuvi as Minister of State in the Prime Minister's Office (Policy, Parliament, and Coordination).

Jenista Mhagama transitions to the role of Minister of Health, having previously served as Minister of State in the Prime Minister's Office (Policy, Parliament, and Coordination).

Furthermore, President Samia has appointed Angellah Kairuki as the President’s aide. She previously served as Minister for Natural Resources and Tourism.

The statement further explained that Dr. Hamza Johari has been appointed Attorney General. He previously served as Director General of the Tanzania Civil Aviation Authority (TCAA) and replaces Dr. Eliezer Feleshi, who has now been appointed as a Judge of the Court of Appeal.

Ally Possi has been appointed as Solicitor General. Prior to this appointment, he was Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Transport.
