Kisarawe District Reaffirms Commitment to Education Improvement

Kisarawe District Commissioner, Petro Magoti, has reaffirmed the government's commitment to work closely with non-governmental organizations (NGOs) to bolster the region's education infrastructure.

Magoti said that recently in the Coast region after receiving a donation of 100 desks from the Lalji Foundation, a charitable organization committed to supporting various communities, particularly those with special needs.

Magoti expressed profound gratitude for the foundation's contribution, underscoring the essential role partnerships play in elevating the standard of education.

"We assure our partners of our unwavering commitment to strengthening our collaboration to support the government's goal of providing quality education," he stated.

Mohamed Damji, vice chairman of the Lalji Foundation, emphasized that the donation aligns with the foundation’s broader mission to enhance education infrastructure across Tanzania.

 "Our goal is to give back to the community. My advice to students is to work hard, recognizing that education has no limits and is the key to success. However, it is crucial to understand that the government cannot employ every student," he remarked, urging pupils to seize the opportunity presented to them.

Damji encouraged them to focus on their studies and excel in their final examinations.

Kisarawe District Council Chairman, Zuberi Kizwezwe, expressed his appreciation for the foundation's generous contribution and called on other organizations to follow suit and join in efforts to elevate the quality of education in Kisarawe district.

He said the collaboration between the government and NGOs like the Lalji Foundation highlights a shared commitment to improving educational outcomes.

“This partnership ensures that students in Kisarawe have the resources necessary to succeed in their academic pursuits, reflecting a collective investment in the future of education,” he said
