Global Education Link hand over 100 Visas for students leaving for abroad next week

Global Education Link (GEL), has handed over 100 Visas to the first group of students who are expected to travel to various universities abroad to start their studies from next week.

This comes when only two weeks have passed since the result of A Level from which hundreds of Tanzanian students who need to study abroad through GEL have already started making preparations to leave from next week.

This was said today by the Director of Global Education Link Abdulmalik Mollel, when distributing 100 visas to students who are expected to leave next week and has spoken to parents and students who are expected to travel.

Mollel said the purpose of the meeting is to hand over visas, discuss with parents and students about many things to consider in the preparation of the trip, bring together parents and students and representatives of the universities that the students expect to go to study with the students and fill out various documents.

"Today we have met with these students to give them their visas that have been completed, give them health insurance, tell them the dates of the flights they will use to travel, find out where they will stay, who they will travel with, and who will receive them," said Mollel.

"They will start leaving for different universities in the world from next week and after that every week a group of students from 50 to 70 will be leaving for different countries," said Mollel.

Mollel asked the students to focus on what they followed abroad and focus on their studies and make sure they graduate with good grades to encourage parents who have sacrificed themselves to pay their fees.

He said some students have a habit of doing things that cause them to fail to finish their studies, a situation that disappoints their parents.

"Don't go drinking alcohol or going to nightclubs because you are going there to pursue education. Make sure you finish your studies," said Mollel

Aiman Mohamed from Mwanza who expects to go to study in India next week, said he is grateful for the coordination made by Global Education Link which enabled him to find Sharda University in India.

"I sincerely congratulate the coordinators of our trip, Mollel, and his staff for the way they were close to us all the time coordinating the trip finally things have turned out well and next week we are traveling to study to fulfill our dreams," he said

Rita Nichalaus also from Mwanza, who hopes to join Sharda University in New Delhi, India, said she was happy to learn about the things they should and shouldn't do while studying.

"The guidance given to us is very important because when a student arrives abroad, if he does not understand the habits and cultures of the locals, he may find himself in trouble, but we have been told how to live while we are there, which is a good and very basic thing for us," she said.
