He spoke to our Reporter in a Q and A…
Q: Congratulations on winning the Young Leader of the Year award! How does it feel to receive this recognition?
A : Thank you! Receiving this award is a true honor and deeply humbling. It’s a testament to the work, resilience, and vision of everyone involved in our mission. I feel immense gratitude for my family, friends, team, mentors, and everyone who supported me. This award isn’t just a personal achievement—it’s a reflection of our collective effort to improve lives and empower communities.
Q : Could you tell us a bit about DKT and the work you’re doing in Tanzania?
A : Absolutely. DKT International is a global leader in reproductive health and family planning, and here in Tanzania, we are committed to making family planning accessible, affordable, and effective. Through our range of products and programs, including awareness campaigns and healthcare partnerships, we reach diverse communities and help individuals make informed choices. Our work aims to break down barriers to reproductive health, enhance accessibility, and empower people to take control of their well-being.
Q: What kind of impact has DKT had in Tanzania so far?
A: The impact has been transformative. Through our efforts, we’ve improved access to family planning resources across Tanzania, from urban areas to the most remote communities. We provide education, counseling, and innovative solutions that meet people where they are. Over the years, we've witnessed greater awareness, healthier families, and empowered youth making informed decisions. Seeing these positive changes has been the most rewarding aspect of our work, and it inspires us to keep pushing forward.
Q: Looking to the future, what are your next goals?
A : Moving forward, my goal is to deepen our impact, especially in rural and underserved regions, and to continue building a strong, sustainable framework for family planning across Tanzania. We’re also committed to engaging more young leaders and ensuring they have a seat at the table. Tanzania’s future lies in the hands of its youth, and I’m passionate about creating opportunities for them to thrive, contribute, and lead.
Q: Thank you for your insights, and congratulations once again!
A : Thank you! I appreciate the opportunity to share our vision and journey.
