Deputy Minister urges mothers to prioritize early childhood development

THE community has been urged to invest in early childhood care and development so that to promote physical, mental, and spiritual well-being of society.

Mwanaidi Khamis, deputy minister for Community Development, Gender, Women and Special Groups made the call over during the third anniversary of the Jubilee Mum's Club celebration hosted by Jubilee Health Insurance held in Dar es Salaam over the weekend.

The deputy minister noted that the government recognizes and respects private sector contributions in supporting and implementing various initiatives, especially in providing public education on child care, development, and early childhood growth.

"I am pleased to see the strong collaboration between Jubilee Health Insurance and the community, which is evident in the practical involvement in providing education on child care and development. The education that is offered to both members and non-members, “she said.

Mwanaidi further praised the company’s efforts to improving women and family’s well-being through the program.

Helena Mzena, Jubilee Life Insurance Corporation of Tanzania Limited CEO said the Club has become an essential support system for mothers in the country in providing them with opportunities to access information and advice on women's health, mental well-being, and financial planning.

“Jubilee Mum's Club has become a pillar for mothers in the country by providing education and advice on women's health, mental wellness, and financial planning. Through articles, events, and online platforms, members can share insights and create a support network,” she said.

According to her, the unique program was created to support expectant mothers, pregnant women, and those that have already given birth. 

Through articles, events, and online platforms, club members can share knowledge and build a support network, she stressed.

Other benefits of the club include free 24/7 online counseling services from health professionals, as well as monthly discounts at partner stores.
