THE highly anticipated 6th edition of the Dar Business Expo is set to return this year, bringing together over 2,000 participants for a dynamic showcase of businesses, investment opportunities, and industry innovations.

Vitalis Mpendazoe, founder and chairman of Dar Expo, announced in Dar es Salaam that this year’s event is scheduled to take place on May 31 at Farasi Green Grounds.

He said the two-day event, known for fostering innovation and economic growth, will provide a valuable platform for entrepreneurs, investors, and industry leaders to connect, collaborate, and explore emerging business trends.

Mpendazoe explained that the event had to be rescheduled to accommodate this year’s general elections and to introduce a new event format that incorporates additional regions into the program calendar.

“This year’s edition will build on its momentum with a clear goal of promoting small business owners, SMEs, and corporate enterprises in collaboration with the wider community,” he said.

Mpendazoe revealed that for the first time, the expo will expand beyond Dar es Salaam, with Arusha set to host its inaugural Business Expo under the new banner of Arusha Business Expo 2025.

“While the Dar Business Expo has largely taken place in Dar es Salaam over the years, we are now expanding our footprint to Arusha. This marks the beginning of a broader regional and global reach,” he emphasized.

The founder highlighted that the expo serves as a vital business networking hub, offering companies a chance to showcase their products and services, connect with potential clients, and explore growth opportunities.

Mpendazoe encouraged small business owners to take advantage of this unique opportunity to network, gain industry insights, and engage with the broader community, which he described as the pillar of economic and social development

“Dar Expo provides businesses with a platform to promote their products, generate leads, and forge strategic partnerships that will drive long-term success,” he stated.

Managing Director of Soko Swahili Market, Kayton Tungu, expressed confidence that this year’s event will attract even more participants and community members, making it the largest edition yet.

“This will be the biggest event of its kind, presenting incredible opportunities for small, medium, and large businesses—both local and international—to showcase their potential, connect with industry players, and drive economic growth,” he said.

With a diverse range of exhibitors, Dar Business Expo 2025 promises to be a game-changer, fostering innovation, collaboration, and business growth both locally and beyond.
