TIC brands Njombe as key investment destination

The Tanzania Investment Centre (TIC) has identified Njombe region as an emerging hub for domestic investment, citing numerous opportunities across various sectors.

TIC Director General Gilead Teri highlighted these prospects during a recent visit to the region, where he engaged with investors and explored potential opportunities. Teri's visit included discussions with regional leaders about ongoing and upcoming investment projects, as well as tours of key investment sites. 

Teri met with local officials, including Njombe District Commissioner Kisa Kasongwa, to emphasize the region's readiness and enthusiasm for collaboration with TIC to enhance investment. Kasongwa stressed the importance of fostering partnerships and encouraged Tanzanians to explore opportunities in tourism and agriculture, reflecting Njombe's commitment to leveraging its development potential and community support.

Key sites visited during the tour included:Tanganyika Wattle Co. Ltd**: A prominent producer of forestry products, such as utility poles, plywood, marine board, and mimosa extra.

-OLESCO Food Products Co. Ltd Known for its Kitulo drinking water.

The visit aimed to celebrate the successes of existing investors, introduce new opportunities, and address the challenges faced by businesses in the region.

The focus on Njombe's investment potential represents a significant development, positioning the region as a key destination for both domestic and international investment in the future.
