THE Dar es Salaam-based consulting firm Tanfidh Management Consultants Limited is set to launch a comprehensive two-day training programme titled ‘Strategy Execution Professional’ scheduled for November 26-27, 2024 in Dar es Salaam.

Tanfidh, a consulting firm specializing in strategy and execution, employs proven methodologies such as strategy maps, balanced scorecards, key performance indicators and objectives and key results.

Speaking in Dar es Salaam at the weekend, Tanfidh Strategy Execution Expert Said Alharthi said that even the best-developed strategies are ineffective without proper execution.

“Making strategy happen is increasingly essential to organizational success. This holds true across all types of organizations—public, government, private and non-profit—especially given today’s global economic challenges,” he said.

Alharthi noted that while most leaders are well-versed in strategy formulation, they often struggle with execution. "Leaders focus heavily on planning but often encounter challenges when it comes to taking action, which can hinder successful strategy implementation,” he said.

“The worst par is that leaders often do not take ownership of the execution process, delegating it to lower-level employees who may lack proper training and guidance.”

He described the course as a structured, logical process that enables organizations to turn strategies into reality.

“Without a carefully planned approach to execution, strategic objectives cannot be achieved. Building such an approach is a formidable challenge for management,” he said.

He added that business landscape has become so unpredictable that even a five-year plan may become irrelevant within weeks. In today’s fast-paced market, organizations must continually assess progress and adapt.

“Agility, flexibility, capability-building, continual learning and adaptation are the new rules for success. A unique strategy is important but it only provides a competitive advantage if executed flawlessly. Success comes with both strategic planning insight and the agility to execute.”

Alharthi stressed that making a plan is not enough; organizations must take actionable steps to implement it. This requires strong leadership, commitment and the ability to drive change even amid resistance.

“I encourage professionals from all sectors in Tanzania to join the programme which will equip leaders with a dynamic approach to strategy execution, helping their organizations achieve transformative and tangible results,” he said.

The training will be led by Alharthi who brings over 25 years of experience in strategy, execution and performance systems across the Middle East, Asia, and Africa.
