TOURISTS from France and other parts of Europe are expected to flock to the Kilimanjaro and Arusha regions following the launch of direct flights from Paris to Kilimanjaro via Zanzibar.
Air France has launched this new route to assist tourists visiting popular tourist destinations, particularly the Mount Kilimanjaro National Park.
Speaking in Kilimanjaro, the company's manager in the country, Rajat Kumar, stated that these flights will provide opportunities for interaction between people from Europe and other areas, contributing to the growth of the tourism-rich regions of Kilimanjaro and Arusha.
"We are pleased to offer passengers a new connection to an attractive destination for adventure travelers, nature lovers, and cultural enthusiasts," said Rajat.
"This new route is part of our ongoing commitment to meet the growing demand for travel to Africa and to create more travel opportunities for people from this region to Europe and beyond, while also promoting tourism in both directions," Kumar added.
He mentioned that these new flights will make it easier to reach Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest peak in Africa and a UNESCO World Heritage site.
