Schneider Electric, a global leader in digital transformation for energy management and automation, has been awarded top recognition in the Canalys “Global Sustainable Ecosystems Leadership Matrix” for the second year in a row.

The company shares this prestigious position with industry giants Lenovo, HP, and Dell, further solidifying its standing as a sustainability trailblazer.

The Canalys recognition highlights Schneider Electric’s long-standing commitment to integrating sustainability into its business practices while empowering channel partners to reach their own sustainability goals.

Vendors ranked as “Champions” in the Matrix are distinguished for their dedication to supporting channel partners in advancing their sustainability initiatives.

According to Canalys, this achievement is a testament to the company’s leadership in sustainability, as well as its partner-focused resources and transparent corporate strategies.

Key criteria for assessment in the matrix include corporate sustainability strategies, data transparency, progress and transformation, as well as feedback from channel partners. Schneider Electric earned top marks in all areas, particularly for its innovation in circular economy practices, extensive partner education programs, and its role in advancing sustainability goals amid rapid growth in AI and data center expansion.

Paul Tyrer, Global IT Channel Vice President for Schneider Electric’s Data Center Business, emphasized the significance of the recognition: "To be one of only four companies to be named Champions shows just how difficult it is to be on the leading edge of this important mission and reaffirms our commitment to leading the charge in sustainability and efficiency.

While we are proud of this achievement, the journey toward a more sustainable future never ends. We will continue to refine and reimagine the future of the industry and how we can help our partners meet their decarbonization targets."

This year marks the second edition of Canalys' “Global Sustainable Ecosystems Leadership Matrix.” The inaugural edition, released in 2023, also named Schneider Electric a Champion, underscoring its sustained commitment to sustainability leadership.

Schneider Electric’s recognition is a reflection of its ongoing efforts to equip its channel partners with the tools and resources needed to meet their sustainability objectives.

Among the company’s innovative offerings are energy assessments and audits for customers, the Zeigo Activate subscription-based SaaS solution for channel partners, the mySchneider IT Partner Program, the Sustainability School, and the Sustainability Impact Awards. Additionally, Schneider Electric introduced the Lifecycle CO2e TradeOff tool, a groundbreaking resource that helps data center operators assess and manage their carbon footprint, including Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions.

Elsa Nightingale, Principal ESG Analyst at Canalys, praised Schneider Electric for its continued leadership in sustainability, stating, “Schneider Electric has once again demonstrated its commitment to supporting its partners with the development of their sustainability strategies and helping their customers make headway on meeting their sustainability objectives.

A vendor’s position in the Canalys Sustainable Ecosystems Leadership Matrix is based on channel partner feedback, industry leadership in sustainability, and Canalys analyst assessments.

Champions have proven the highest levels of excellence in moving the channel ecosystem toward a more sustainable future while simultaneously advancing their own corporate sustainability strategies.”
