CRDB Bank to equip online businesses with management skills

Online business operators are expected to benefit from the capacity building training on business management skills, planned by CRDB Bank Plc, to enable them to increase productivity.

This was announced yesterday by the bank’s acting head of retail business Farid Seif, who said the current technological development has changed the way businesses are conducted, as thousands of Tanzanians are joining their fellow across the world to benefit from opportunities brought by the advancement of science and technology.

“Apart from abundant opportunities found online, CRDB Bank recognizes challenges facing entrepreneurs who are already conducting their businesses and those wishing to start. That is why, since 2022, we established a platform namely “Instaprenyua” in order to build their capacities in order to exploit opportunities or tackling challenges they are facing. This seminar will be held on 4th May, so we invite all online entrepreneurs to register for this event,” he said. 

He said the efforts is to build their understanding on how to avoid risks associated with online businesses started in July 2022.

“Apart from building their capacities, CRDB Bank also share financing opportunities available for them to improve the income of not only their households, but also the national economy,” he said.

He mentioned papers to be presented by professionals during the event include how to expand business, marketing skills, pricing of goods and services, delivery of goods, payments and general knowledge on how to grow their businesses.

“Besides skills that will be acquired during the seminar from presentations, it will be important for them to know our financial services related to their businesses. CRDB is the leading bank in empowering entrepreneurs through our free monthly fee’s Hodari account, which also enable a customer  to secure a loan for paying ordered goods from manufacturer outside the country,” he explained.

Other partners in preparing the capacity building are Simba Courier, Mwananchi Communications Limited (MCL) and Infocus Studio Limited.

Speaking during the announcement, Infocus Studio Limited managing director Joshua Moshi said there are millions of social media networks, who are potential customers of goods and services, which has attracted many entrepreneurs.

“Each business is now venturing into online platforms because it is a place where everyone is using most of his/her time and if they like your good or service, they can order easily. There is no any business activity that does not need a capacity building for improvement,” he said.
