Tambwe has scored thirteen goals after the end of the 15th round to shrug off opposition from Amis Tambwe who has ten to his credit. In his tally, Tambwe has decorated his number goals with two hat-tricks to stamp his authority as top marksman for his club.

Tambwe whose maiden season with Simba before joining Yanga, scored 19 goals and looks to be on his way to exceed the mark this season. He has only six goals to erase his previous record and set up a new one. His hat-trick against Majimaji at the National Stadium in Dar es Salaam last week has lifted him to the summit of the standings in the golden boot award chase.

High-flying Tambwe might possibly set up new scoring level to exceed twenty goals mark for the first time in the premiership.

Kiiza has scored ten goals including a hat-trick for Simba. Below Kiiza are Stand United’s striker Elias Maguri and Yanga’s Zimbabwean striker Donald Ngoma on nine goals apirce.

Yanga are enjoying a pilot seat in the premiership with 39 points, same as Azam but edge them on goal aggregates.
