SINGIDA United's head coach, Hans van Pluijm, is adamant that his players should follow his instructions, should they live up to expectations in matches.

Singida United, which also features in thev Mainland Premier League, booked a place in the third round of this season's Azam Sports Federation Cup after cruising to a 2-0 win over Arusha's Boda Boda FC at the Namfua Stadium in Singida early this week.

Winger Deus Kaseke and striker, Danny Usengimana, drilled in the goals to assure Singida United of qualification for the next stage of the tournament, which will be held in January next year.

The eventual winners had dominated the match and could have come out with an emphatic win, if they had made the most of a lot of oportunities they got in either half.

Pluijm insisted on the need for Singida United players to concentrate throughout and work on instructions they received during training sessions.

He pointed out Bodaboda FC players were also not working on instructions they got from their coach.

Players, he said, should always listen to the coaches' instructions and opt out of solely using their own skills.

"I have been recalling throughout game the squad must learn from their colleagues at Manchester United of England, who pay attention to what they were taught," he disclosed.

Boda Boda FC's coach, Yusuf Lusinde, revealed he will work on the outfit's striking force's weaknesses and promosed the squad will show changes in coming matches.

He pointed out his team's participation in the Azam Sports Federation Cup has helped the outfit gain experience.

''Bodaboda FC is an inexperienced team but to some extent the squad played well, showcased teamwork spirit and managed to outshine Singida United at some point in the first half,” he said.

Boda Boda FC emerged as Arusha's regional champions league's winner and secured a place in the next season's National Second Division League.

A soccer fan in Singida, Charles Masonga, disclosed Boda Boda FC is a good team, much as it is inexperienced.

"Both teams displayed good footwork but but Boda Boda have to improve their forwardline, Singida United have to bear in their mind that a match is always unpredictable, so, they have to be serious in a game," he noted.

Singida United will be away to Njombe Mji in the Mainland Premier League's match which will take place on December 31.

Singida United have been placed fourth in the league's log, having won five matches, managed draw in as many and suffered defeat once.

After the completion of the 12th round of the Mainland Premier League, the event will be put on hold to give room for the Mapinduzi Cup and the third round of the Azam Sports Federation Cup which will take place between January 5 and 7.

The National First Division League (FDL) 10th round will take place on December 30 for the league's groups A and C, whereas group B games will be played the following day.

The second round of the SDL will start on Friday, which will see outfits in groups B, C and D lock horns in various venues. The group A games will be played the following day.
