The league’s junior category, which has been organised for the first time, saw Butimba Prison Volleyball Club (BPVC) register a 3-1 win over MTC in the first game and latter then regrouped to secure a 3-0 win over BoT.
BVC ladies kept alive hopes of dethroning BoT when the former recorded a 3-1 win over SAUT on Sunday. In the day’s junior category games, BVC were forced to deploy all skills at their disposal to secure a 3-2 win over MTC, with the latter enduring a second consecutive loss in the event.
The men’s category game pitting SAUT against Faru, which had been slated for the same day, had to be postponed because of bad light as disclosed by Mwanza Regional Volleyball Association (Mwareva) official, Honorati Mayunga. He said the match will, thus, be played in the forthcoming weekend.
