New appointed Managing Director, Hussen Jamal said in Dar es Salaam last week that the company which already controls a significant part of the local market, banks on its skilled and dedicated employees, modern technology and increasing demand to deliver accordingly.

“I will ensure that contribution of each employee will be maintained, and you will get the same enthusiasm and support in sustaining your livelihood through your many business ventures within the paint industry,” Jamal said immediately after assuming office.

Kansai Plascon Tanzania, which is one the country’s dominant companies in the paint industry, announced a new leadership structure to support the company’s continued growth investment in customers, partners, staff and local communities earlier this month.

Jamal who served as General Manager before assuming his new role, said he will focus on building a meaningful business strategy tied to growing the company in the market where the construction industry is one of the fastest growing in the economy.

“I can also promise you that we are going to step up by reconfiguring this business by catching up with current demand and navigate newer ways of doing business – in the hope that they will also change your businesses and lives,” he added.

The new structure is a natural step in the company’s growth, building off the name change from Sadolin to Plascon in 2017, with investments in core stores and continued good relationships with customers throughout the country.

“We are growing up, learning from past experiences, gathering more tools, sharpening our minds by developing our talents, adding more skills, meeting new people, expanding our level of influence, and many more,” the new Managing Director stressed.

Strong annual performance, new product innovations and ongoing market share position shows that Plascon Tanzania is performing well in the growing construction industry and is poised to continue servicing the local market with the most trusted products.

Kansai Paint, based in Japan, is a top ten coatings company globally, it is the largest supplier of original equipment of auto paints in the world. It has world-leading research and development facilities in Japan, India and South Africa, which continually drive innovation and excellence in the paint environment.
