JK changes cabinet

President Jakaya Kikwete has made a minor reshuffle of the cabinet, naming Dr. Shukuru Kawambwa the new Minister of Infrastructure in place of Andrew Chenge who resigned recently. Dr. Kawambwa was the minister of Communication, Science and Technology.

He has also appointed Prof. Peter Msolla who headed the Agriculture and Food ministry, the new minister of Communication, Science and Technology.

The ministry of Agriculture, Food Security and Cooperatives will now be headed by Stephen Wassira, who was the minister of state in the Prime Minister`s Office, Regional Administration and Local Governments.

Celina O. Kombani has been appointed minister of state in the Prime MInister`s Office in charge of Regional Administration and Local Governments.

The President has also appointed Aggrey Mwanri, Deputy Minister Regional Administration and Local Governments.

Other deputy ministers are Hezekiah Chibulunje who moves to the Infrastructure ministry, swapping places with Dr. Milton Mahanga,who moves to the Labour, Employment and Youth Development Ministry.

The newly appointed ministers and deputy minister will be sworn in on tomorrow morning.
