Vodacom injects 40m/- into cycling

Vodacom will use 40m/- to sponsor this year’s national cycling competition to be held on October 19 in Mwanza.
Rukia Mtingwa, Vodacom Event and Promotion Manager said yesterday that the championship would be open for all cyclists.
She said cyclists willing to compete would be required to register in their regional cycling bodies.
Rukia said that the event would attract more than 1,000 competitors.
Three winners in the men`s category will qualify to represent Tanzania in international competitions.
She said the winners would also get several awards.
On his part, Tanzania Cycling Association chairman Nazir Manji thanked the mobile phone company for supporting the 150km race.
Vodacom is also sponsoring Mainland soccer premier league, fishing and Miss Tanzania beauty contest, to mention but a few.
