A 150km cycling competition which was earlier set for tomorrow in Dar es Salaam has been postponed to October 5.

The Dar es Salaam Cycling Association Secretary General, Saidi Kengele, said yesterday that the event was postponed because of lack of sponsors.

``Once we get sponsors we will stage it on October 5,`` Kengele added.Kengele said the body would instead stage a 60km race tomorrow in Dar es Salaam.

The race will start at 8am at Tazara to Mwalimu Nyerere International Airport.

Cyclists will drive five times to the airport to complete 60km.
He said the aim of the tournament would be to test the cyclists who would compete in the October 5 event.
