Nine lady golfers are expected to leave for Nairobi to compete in the Kenya Open which will tee off on Saturday at Muthaiga Golf Club.

Tanzania Ladies Golf Union (TLGU) president Betty Malaba said a two-day tourney would also attract golfers from Uganda, Zambia and hosts Kenya.

She named golfers who would leave by road as Lina Francis, Shazrat Myombe, Hawa Wanyeche, Madina Idd, Victoria Elias, Ayne Magombe, Sophia Viggo, Sherida Chilipachi and herself.

Betty said her side had prepared well to give the challenge in the four-nation tourney.

The team will return in Dar es Salaam on July 8 after competing in the championship organized by Kenya Golf Union.
