The Council of East and Central Africa Football Associations (Cecafa) needs 200m/- to run Kagame Cup smoothly in Dar es Salaam.

Cecafa President Leodegar Tenga said the body earlier required 340m/- but the amount was reduced after getting the sponsorships from President of Rwanda Paul Kagame and Tanzania Breweries Limited (TBL).

Kagame has pumped in 60,000 dollars (above 60m/-) while TBL has poured in 80m/-.

The regional championship will kick off from July 12- 27 at the National Stadium.

On his part, TBL Director of Marketing David Minja asked hosts teams Simba and Yanga to make sure that one of them keep the title.

Cecafa Secretary-General Nicholas Musonye said that Simba and Tusker FC of Kenya will meet in the opening match while Vital `O of Burundi will also play Benadir of Somalia on the same day.

He said Mainland champions Yanga would play APR of Rwanda on the next day.

The fixtures indicated that each team will play three games in group stages with two from each group advancing into the quarter finals.

Group `A` has Simba, Tusker, Vital `O and Benadir. Group `B` has URA of Uganda, Rayon (Rwanda), Denden (Eritrea) and CID (Djibouti).

APR, Yanga, Awasa (Ethiopia) and Miembeni (Zanzibar) are in Group `C`.
