Dar resident in the dock over unlawful possession of army uniform

Robert Gasper, a casual labourer in Dar es Salaam appeared in the Kisutu Resident Magistrate`s Court on Friday charged with unlawful possession of Tanzania People\'s Defence Force (TPDF) uniforms.

Prosecutor Hamisi Mhyella alleged in court that the accused was on April 30, this year found wearing trousers, shirt and a cap, all properties of TPDF.

The accused denied the charge and he will appear again in court on May 25, this year.

Meanwhile, Said Salehe, a trader who resides in the city appeared in the same court charged with possessing goods suspected to have been stolen or unlawfully acquired.

It was alleged that on April 16, this year at Magomeni within the city, the accused was found with electrical gadgets, the property of Tanzania Electric Supply Company (Tanesco).

The accused pleaded not guilty to the charge. The magistrate adjourned the case to May 25, this year.
