Shein to inaugurate India-Africa partnership conclave

The Vice President Dr Ali Mohamed Shein who is on a seven-day official visit to India since yesterday is today expected to inaugurate the fourth India-Africa Project Partnership Conclave in New Delhi.
According to a statement issued by the Indian High Commission in Dar es Salaam yesterday, Dr Shein is in India on the invitation of that country`s Vice President, Hamid Ansari.
A high level delegation accompanying Dr Shein will also take part in a meeting organised by Confederation of Indian Industries and Exim Bank of India.
Members of the delegation include Health and Social Welfare minister Prof. David Mwakyusa, Industries, Trade and Marketing minister Mary Nagu and Zanzibar Industries, Trade and Marketing minister who is also Minister of State in the Isles President`s Office Dr Mwinyihaji.
Others are Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation deputy minister Seif Iddi, MPs and other senior government officials.
The statement also said during his visit, Dr Shein would also meet with Prime Minister of India Dr Manmohan Sigh, the leader of the opposition and Minister of State and External Affairs.
The Vice President would also visit various institutions focusing on health and medicare and pharmaceuticals, information technology, biotechnology, agro industries and petrochemicals, the statement said.
The conclave is expected to maintain keen focus on building India-Africa partnership that will lead to value addition to the host country`s natural resources and production process, availability of goods and services affordable to the continent`s population.
