Worshippers have been advised to live while recognising that life after death is inevitable. Sheikh Mohamed Konsel made the advice during the burial ceremony of Fatuma Mcheni (92), the mother of the late Tatu Nuru, who worked as Tanzanian ambassador in different countries for many years.

Addressing a gathering at the Kisutu cemetery yesterday, Sheikh Konsel said human beings are supposed to put things in order so that they eventually come to assist him/her after death.

``There are things that a person can do, such as construction of wells for people to fetch water, build Madrassa for children to study and mosques for believers to pray,`` he said.

Sheikh Konsel said it is advisable that before death, the deceased should also leave a child who would pray for them moments after they had gone.

He urged people to do righteous things while on earth for them to enjoy better life in heaven.

Speaking at the deceased`s residence in Survey, Dar es Salaam, a brother of the deceased, Mansour Mohamed said Fatuma died on Monday morning while she was being driven to Mwananyamala Hospital for treatment.

``She was suffering from blood pressure prior to her death. Children called me early in the morning and told me that their grandmother\'s was well. They took her to the hospital but later they informed us that she had passed away,`` he said.

He said the deceased bore two children, Hassan who died during his childhood and Tatu who died in1998.

He said she leaves no grandchildren since Tatu and Hassan never had children.

Tatu Nuru served as Tanzania`s ambassador to Angola, Ethiopia and France and also as consular in the country\'s embassy in the UN, New York.

The Executive Chairman of IPP Reginald Mengi and Chairman of Pride Tanzania Iddi Simba were among the people who attended the burial ceremony.
