Acting Kusini Unguja Regional Police Commander (RPC) Hamdani Omar was reluctant to give details about the matter.

However, he confirmed some people were arrested in connection to the crime.
Sources within the police force here said the SMG was stolen at Muembe-Mchomeke police post about 17km- South of Zanzibar stone town, in central Unguja, at dawn on Sunday.
