Pacemakers Simba are on the verge of wining the Mainland premiership title should they win against relegation-haunted Moro United while praying for Mtibwa Sugar to beat or hold Azam FC.

A win for Simba would bring them to hit a 59-point mark that can be attained by another title contender Azam should they win all of their three matches.

Moro United are right inside the relegation pool together with Police Dodoma. A slip up by Azam would work for Simba’s title boost as the former’s ceiling mark would be lowered below the current 59 points.

Moro United held Simba to a dramatic 3-3 draw during the first leg tie played at the Chamazi Stadium on November 5.

Both teems play their penultimate round matches as Moro United are urgently inn need of the three points allotted in today’s game to boost their relegation fight back.

Simba have to avoid eleventh hour horror as their final game against archrivals Young Africans is not expected to be an easy passage.

A slip up by Simba in today’s game and a win for Azam would put Simba on the ropes to wait until May 5 to decide the championship.
