The Tanzania Football Federation is expected to discuss the Yanga-Azam riot marred Mainland premiership match played at the national Stadium in Dar es Salaam over the weekend.
TFF’s information officer Boniface Wambura said the federation is waiting for a report from match commissioner and referee before making any efforts to rule on the outcome.
The match was marred by riots on the pitch and outside the National Stadium.
It started with a sent off of Yanga’s Rwanda import midfielder Haruna Niyonzima who was sent off by referee Israel Mujuni early in the first half.
His red card ignited fury and frustration on the part of Yanga players whose centre back Nadir Haroub confronted referee in protest and in the build up he was also flashed with a red card as well.
There was more violence outside the National Stadium by fans believed to be of Yanga who were n frustration over the defeat that crippled their team’s title retention grip.
Yanga are four-points adrift of Azam and Simba but have a match in hand.
