Unexpected visit by the newly appointed national youth team coach, Jakob Michelsen, at the UMMISETA games in Kibaha had overwhelmed most of the football players.

His presence on the scenes raised hope and encouragement from the young generation of players who have a dream to feature in the senior national team.

The Danish coach arrived in Kibaha with an objective of taping young talents who might be useful to feature in the under 20 and 17 national teams.

The Dar es Salaam zone UMMISETA chairman, Bryson Mbasha, was thrilled by the arrival of the coach in the same way like the players.

“Students have been overwhelmed by the coach’s arrival as he has come at the right time for the right purpose,” he said.

The 31-year-old Dane has already acknowledged talents from UMMISETA platform.

Michelsen was introduced to the media members in Dar es Salaam on Tuesday as he takes over from where Kim Poulsen has left.

Poulsen won promotion into the senior national soccer team to replace namesake Jan, who ended his tenure with the only success in ending Challenge Cup’s 16-year voodoo in 2010.
