Simba will be looking to extend their Premier League lead when they face Mtibwa Sugar at Morogoro’s Jamhuri Stadium today.
The leaders’ stubborn defender Kelvin Yondani is expected to be in the team’s line up after serving a match ban.
Yondani got a red card when they played Toto African in the match which ended in a barren draw.
The Msimbazi Street team coach Milovan Cirkovic said the return of the defender would help mould a strong defence.
Yondani missed their last away game, against Polisi of Dodoma which the Dar es Salaam side won 1-0.
A win for Simba widens their lead to 47 points and leave a reasonable distance Yanga at 43 points after yesterday’s game, while third placed Azam go to the pitch today.
The coach said they are well prepared to secure those three crucial points.
He acknowledged that Mtibwa Sugar was a focused and good side, requiring attention when clashing with them.
On his part, Mtibwa Sugar coach Tom Olaba said they were ready for the revenge. Simba piped the sugar men 1-0 in the first round match last September.
Simba lead on 44 points while the sugar men are fourth on 34 points.
Azam FC host Ruvu Shooting in another league match at the Azam Complex in Dar es Salaam. Azam have 41 points while the visitors have 24 points on their sleeves.
