Parliament to revisit CA Act
The government  intends to convene an emergency meeting of the Union legislature to review and amend some sections in the Constitutional Review Act, if the Constituent Assembly (CA) will be short of the needed 2/3 quorum to endorse a newly crafted constitution draft, it has been established. Revealing the government plans on the gamesomely discussed constitution writing in Dar es Salaam yesterday, Attorney General Judge (Rtd) Fredrick Werema said it was only lawful to amend the law governing the process rather than tempering with legal ambiguities surrounding the views calling for suspension of the process.
