Amavubi coach hints at Simba, Yanga stint

Rwanda’s Amavubi keepers’ coach Thomas Higiro says he will make his dream fulfilled if he gets a job in one of the top Tanzanian clubs, archrivals Yanga and Simba.

Higiro said here yesterday that he was willing to train one of the two top local teams, saying that his services will make Tanzanian goalkeepers great.

The trainer said he had been keenly following Tanzanian goalkeepers and realized that they lacked some things of which if he got a chance to train them they can be good custodians.

“I am ready to join any of the two teams if they want me. They can gain a lot from me. I have done a lot in Rwanda, now it’s my time to take my skills beyond the border,” he said.

He named clubs which benefited from his services as Rayon FC, Police FC, Kist FC, AS Kigali all of Rwanda, and Fanja FC of Oman.

Higiro was one in the technical bench when Rwanda was competing in the Africa Cup of Nations finals (AFCON) in Tunisia in 2004.
